Excitement at Hoakalei

Vibrant and exciting - an apt description for what is being conceived for Hoakalei Marina. Waterfront shopping, dining and office space is planned to overlook the western half of the marina, ocean and park views will be built on the eastern-most edge of the waterway.

Imagine a regular farmers market to support local agriculture and provide fishermen with a place to share their catch;an open-air amphitheater for performances and events;and a learning center for the Hoakalei Cultural Foundation at the Kauhale Preserve to help perpetuate Native Hawaiian culture.

A pedestrian pathway will connect Hoakalei's neighborhoods to the marina, encouraging residents and guests to mingle and enjoy the myriad of shop, restaurants and cultural displays envisioned for the waterfront, and wander by the future hotel, preservation areas and One'ula Beach Park.

Boaters will have several lanes to launch from on the west end of the marina, with parking for their cars and trailers nearby.  Fishermen will be able to cast form handicap-accessible fishing piers on both sides of the harbor.  And everyone can enjoy an afternoon mai tai at the future yacht club.
